Sediment Management

Anchor QEA is home to many of the country’s top sediment management specialists. Our success in completing sediment cleanup projects that continue to perform as designed is the basis for our reputation as leaders in this field. Our staff serve on the board of the Western Dredging Association, represent the United States (alongside the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers [USACE]) on the subcommittee for dredging best management practices of the Permanent International Association of Navigation Congresses, and provide expert witness support for our clients.

Anchor QEA offers the full range of sediment management services, from site characterization through remedial design and construction management. We have negotiated the most appropriate sediment cleanup and management strategies with regulatory agencies at sites with a host of chemical constituents including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), a wide variety of metals, and more recently, perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). And our staff have extensive experience designing and implementing successful remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and remedial designs at manufactured gas plant (MGP) sites across the United States.
