Anchor QEA Contributed to Published PFAS Technical and Regulatory Guidance Document
PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) have attracted plenty of attention due to their persistence in the environment and their potential impacts to human health. To shed light on the issue, the Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council (ITRC) just published their comprehensive PFAS technical and regulatory guidance document—the product of three years of dedicated work by many contributors, including Anchor QEA’s Dr. Sarah LaRoe. A Senior Scientist in our Saratoga Springs (NY) office, Dr. LaRoe’s contributions highlighted the physical and chemical properties of this complex family of chemicals. Congratulations, Sarah!
The ITRC guidance is a comprehensive compilation of the state-of-the-science that includes case studies and stakeholder perspectives and reflects input from “environmental and public health professionals from federal, state, and local government, public and tribal stakeholder groups, private industry, and academia.” Read the IRTC’s update for more information about the release and links to the 400+ page document, video training modules, and fact sheets for FREE here: https://pfas-1.itrcweb.org/
